The Rev. Dr. J. Herbert Nelson is the stated clerk of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church (USA). For the non-presby geeks, J. Herbert serves in the highest ecclesial office in our denomination. He is casting a deep and wide vision for the Presbyterian Church, leveraging our progressive (not the partisan term, but the “moving forward” term) heritage of responding to the world’s crises with faithful, intentional, and justice-oriented responses.
